Meet Elissa Ibrahim, an AGFE scholar from Lebanon who pursued a BS in Mathematics at the American University of Beirut

“Becoming an Al Ghurair scholar was the first step in my journey when I started exploring scientific research and technological innovations. This scholarship means a lot to me because it made me cross many boundaries and gave me the support to realize my ambitions.”

Elissa graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2018 and was awarded the Muhanna Foundation Excellence Award, which recognizes the best senior Lebanese student in mathematics.

Currently, Elissa is working as a Quantitative Analyst at EBRD in the United Kingdom after completing her Master’s Degree at Imperial College London.

Elissa is planning to continue her PhD where she can dig more into the mathematical world and contribute to the latest research.
