Meet Najwa El Zini, an AGF scholar from Lebanon who pursued a BS in Mathematics at the American University of Beirut

“Being an AGF scholar was a significant milestone in my life. Not only did the scholarship give me the financial support needed to pursue my studies, but it contributed to my personal and career development by providing a full support system and a room to give back to the community.”

Najwa graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2018 and continued her Master’s Degree in Mathematics at the same university.

Today, Najwa is employed as a Junior Data Scientist at AGF. She joined the foundation again to contribute to its goals and to be part of a team which is committed to empower Arab youth.

“This opportunity is a way to expand my expertise in the research field in order to meet my career aspirations in data analytics.”

Najwa aspires to lead a career that goes beyond the day-to-day working job,  a career that introduces actual tangible change into people’s lives and has a positive impact on her country.
