Meet Moustafa Abdelnaby, an AGF scholar from Egypt who pursued a MS in Electrical Engineering at the American University of Sharjah

“AGF has given me the support I needed to follow my ambitions, expand my knowledge in the field, build-up on my leadership skills, and re-shape my career goals after studying Machine Learning in the program.”

Moustafa graduated with high distinction from the American University of Sharjah in 2018. Upon his graduation, he got promoted to become an Assistant Project Engineer at FEWA.

He has been integrating his machine learning knowledge into his current job by analyzing and building a model that anticipates future electricity faults which reduced the response time by 30% in the past 2 years.

Also, Moustafa has been granted the OMAC COVID-19 Hackathon grand prize over 1200+ other teams by providing and prototyping the solution Pinpoint, which utilizes various computer vision algorithms to drive business insights to businesses and governments to fight the pandemic.
